The words
Click any text your developer opened up and type. Headings, paragraphs, prices, opening hours, a phone number. What you type is what visitors see once you save.
OWNER GUIDE
Your developer built this site and put it on WireSwan so you can keep it up to date without calling them for every comma. This page is everything you can do.
A quiet room, four chairs, and people who ask what you actually want.
BookClick the heading or the text and type. Change the colour. Add a picture. This is exactly how editing your own site feels.
Click any text your developer opened up and type. Headings, paragraphs, prices, opening hours, a phone number. What you type is what visitors see once you save.
Swap a photo for one of your own. It is resized and re-encoded for you, so a huge picture straight off a phone will not slow your site down.
Your phone number, your email, your booking link. Change the number once and the button people press changes with it — not just the number they read.
Holiday hours, an offer, a notice. Switch a whole section off when it is over and on again when it comes back, without asking anybody.
If your developer opened up the palette, you can change it — and every page follows at once, because they are the same few colours used throughout.
Nothing is final. There is an undo for your last save, and earlier versions are kept, so a change you regret at midnight is not a problem you have to solve at midnight.
When somebody searches for a salon in your city, Google shows a blue line and a grey one under it. That blue line is your page's title and the grey one is its description, and they are what decides whether a stranger clicks you or the place down the road. They do not appear anywhere on your website — which is exactly why nobody ever notices they are wrong.
Your developer writes the first version. You can change both whenever the business does: new opening hours, a new city, a service you stopped offering. You do not need to ask anyone, and you do not need to understand anything beyond writing a sentence that would make you click.
You cannot move things around, change the layout, add or delete pages, or alter how the site is built. That is the deal that makes the rest safe: you can edit everything that matters without any risk of breaking how the site looks on a phone, or how it appears in Google.
If you want something moved, added or redesigned, that is a job for your developer — and it should be. Ask them.
Your site can be served on your own domain name, or on an address WireSwan gives it. Connecting your own domain is something your developer sets up once; after that it is yours and it stays yours.
You can download your entire website at any time — every page, every picture, every word you wrote — as a plain folder that works on any host. Nothing of ours is in it: no tracking, no branding, no code that calls home. You are not locked in, and you never have to ask us for a copy.
If hosting ever goes unpaid, we tell you before anything stops, and you keep a further 7 days to take your files before they are deleted. We will not quietly delete someone's website.
One monthly price, agreed with your developer before you accepted the site. It covers the hosting, the certificate that puts the padlock in the address bar, and the backups. There are no setup fees and nothing is added later without telling you.
You pay your developer through WireSwan, by card. You see every payment and download every invoice in your own workspace, and you can cancel there yourself at any time — no email, no phone call.
Undo puts back your last save. Beyond that, the last 10 published versions of the site are kept, and your developer can put any of them back. It is very hard to lose anything here permanently.
Your site sits on its own, separated from every other site on the server, served over an encrypted connection. We hold what is needed to run it and nothing else — no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of your visitors.
How security worksYou have no password. When you want to edit your site, you ask for a link and it arrives in your email — one less thing to forget, and nothing anybody can steal from you.
